Oh MSNBC, is there no shortage to how absolutely bat shit crazy you can be? Apparently not, as anchor Melissa Harris-Perry so aptly demonstrates. The following exchange took place Monday while Harris-Perry and her panel were discussing the merits of Paul Ryan becoming the Speaker of the House:
That's right, folks, you heard that right. Melissa Harris-Perry wants us to "be careful" when we use the term "hard worker". Why? Because it's disrespectful of slaves and working moms...or something. Apparently for Harris-Perry the phrase "hard work" conjures up images of slaves toiling endlessly in the cotton fields.
Note that the subject of discussion was Paul freaking Ryan, probably just about the whitest white guy you've ever seen. Race had absolutely ZERO to do with this discussion, and yet this Social Justice Warrior managed to inject race straight into it. I have to admit I'm impressed. It takes some real skill to be offended by "hard work".
The most hilarious thing about this clip isn't the sheer ridiculousness of the rant. It's the look on Alfonso Aguilar's face. It's almost as if you can hear him thinking "what the fuck?".
