Breaking News: North Korea Readies Nukes

Trigger Warning:
Uh-oh...

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has ordered his country's nuclear weapons made ready for use at a moment's notice, the official state news agency reported Friday.
Kim also said his country will ready its military so it is prepared to carry out pre-emptive attacks, calling the current situation very precarious, according to KCNA.
On Thursday, North Korea fired six short-range projectiles into the sea off its east coast, South Korean officials said, just hours after the U.N. Security Council approved the toughest sanctions on the North in two decades for its recent nuclear test and long-range rocket launch.
The firings also came shortly after South Korea's National Assembly passed its first legislation on human rights in North Korea.
We've seen this type of behavior from North Korea before.  They usually get pretty uppity after the world condemns them for something or other.  That seems to be exactly what happened here.  This is the first time, though, that I've ever heard of them actually ordering their nukes to  be made ready.

The big question, of course, is whether or not this is a serious move by North Korea, or whether or not it's more bluster.  North Korea could very well be threatening to nuke South Korea in order to get the U.N. to lift its new sanctions against them.  These new sanctions will further hurt their already weakened (re: on life support) economy.  North Korea probably figures that the U.S. will cave and push for a lifting of the new sanctions.

I wonder where they could have gotten THAT idea...
Personally I'm betting that this is just another example of North Korea huffing, puffing, and threatening to rain nuclear fire down on the world.  I'm sure our Dear Leader Obama is taking this seriously and deploying all available resources to help manage this crisis.
North Korea's acting up again. Deploy "The Negotiator..."
Negotiator ready to deploy, SIR!
We're in the best of hands, folks...
