Mizzou Tells Melissa Click to Hit the Road

Trigger Warning:
And don't you come back no more!

You all remember Melissa Click, right?  She was the "journalism" professor who roughed up a student journalist at a ConcernedStudent1950 protest.  Here's a little refresher:
What a class act.  Professor Click couldn't stay out of the limelight, though.  A month after this stunning video was taken she...umm...kind of assaulted a cop at another protest:
Mizzou promptly suspended her-with pay, of course.  While the Mizzou board tried to figure out what to do with her several Missouri Republicans penned a letter demanding Melissa Click be fired.

Of course this whole incident was rather embarrassing for Mizzou.  It seems, though, that the curators of the University of Missouri finally got together and told Melissa Click to clear out her desk:
Assistant Professor Melissa Click, captured on video calling for “some muscle” to remove reporters from a campus protest site, was fired Wednesday by the University of Missouri Board of Curators, Chairwoman Pam Henrickson said in a prepared statement.

The board voted 4-2 in favor of termination during a closed session in Kansas City, with Henrickson and curator John Phillips opposing the move, UM System spokesman John Fougere wrote in an email Thursday. Curators David Steelman, Donald Cupps, Maurice Graham and Phil Snowden voted in favor of firing Click.
I like to think the curators told Melissa Click not to let the door hit her on the ass on the way out.  Click was definitely a stain on the image of the University of Missouri, and keeping her around would only have hurt the university further.  Melissa Click had no business teaching journalism to anyone, and she was an insult to good professors everywhere.
